NG12-5 33kW Wind Turbine 
It's called the “12-5” because the blade rotor diameter is 12.5 meters (about 41 ft).  The power rating is 33 kilowatts.  These turbines were originally manufactured under the trade name “Aeroman” in the 1980’s, and have been successfully producing power in a utility scale wind farm in California for almost 25 years.  They are taking them down now to replace them with new, much larger machines.  Our supplier dismantles them and brings them back to Pipestone, MN, where they replace every wearable part and update the electronics.  The bearings, seals, gears, hydraulics, motors, wiring, sensor instrumentation and electronics are new.  The 3-phase induction generator is re-wound, and the blades are inspected, balanced, and resurfaced.  The turbine comes with a new state-of-art PLC controller and a digital phase converter that converts from three-phase to single phase, corrects for power factor and “cleans-up” the signal, so that the quality of the power that you are using or putting back onto the grid actually exceeds power quality typically delivered by the utility.
